Has both type bases, is sturdy and comes with a HUGE case. (Could do without the case) Purchased for the last middle school woodshop in Oakland Public Schools, celebrating it's 50th anniversary this year. Hope this router will last 50 years!

Good router for an excellent price.
So far is flawless in operation and dependability.
Only thing I don't like is the case.

What a fantastic router, pure quality. My only negative is in changing the bits is not the greatest (in my opinion).

I am a long time woodworking professional, experienced with BOTH the working of wood, and ALSO how crucial this is in the final finishing of that same wooden item. In spite of that, this is my first router! I learned long ago not to love a tool just because of the label - a manufacturer that you have grown to trust can cheapen their stuff - so do your research!! Having said that, my opinion of this router is VERY POSITIVE. It is well built, the controls work smoothly, precisely, reliably. It far exceeds my current ability to use it well, and so I am grateful for the ease and accuracy it affords the router novice.

The storage case is a topic of angst for some, but consider this from someone who travels in his work - this router is well protected. I'll be modifying the interior and exterior with a heat gun and some crude molds in order to safely store other hardware and small tools inside, thereby using this larger case to its best advantage. (AND IF THAT DON'T WORK I'LL PAD THE SUCKER IN A TOOLBAG!)

Also, I applaud Milwaukee for including the dust collection. Forty years ago I scoffed at dust concerns. Now I am adamant about protecting my respiratory health.
But just one question remains that Milwaukee cannot answer:

HOW THE HELL DID I GET TO BE 54 YEARS OLD???!!!

Enjoy this router. You will not regret it. At this price it is a steal.

Have not used it yet other than to just turn it on. Looks typical of Milwaukee tools, well made. Price was good and I needed a good router, so when the 2 base set was advertised, I bought it.
